The masks (masx) designed for the Ju 88 S/T variant also fit the G-1 and G-6 variants. Excellent fit, great product and the only game in town for these kits.

The Tamiya Tape type is thin, has good adhesion, sharply cut, and fits very well. Masks left no tacky residues after removal, they sat on the canopy for several days. I sprayed primer, body color, clear, and mat coats over them and didn't have to re-adjust or reinforce them. Recommended!

If you are one of the lucky ones to have this "Bomber B" program kit, which was released only once in 1999, you will find this to be the ONLY aftermarket specifically available for it. If your canopy parts have yellowed as mine have, it is not the end of the world. You can mix up some "Durhams Rock Hard Water Putty" or equivalent and pour it into the canopy. When hardened, simply pop this new male form out (it doesn't stick) and vacuum-form a fresh canopy over it with PETG sheet such as K&S Engineering #1304 (there are articles and tutorials online about how to do that). I have done it several times, it works! Masking old vac canopies- with their indistinct, soft framework and fragile nature- is always a fraught exercise and I don't know anyone who enjoys it. I am happy to have paid the money to someone who has made that job so much easier while also providing a more professional final appearance

I ordered this one in Tamiya tape to make it easier to conform to the compound curves of that glazed nose, and am glad I did. Even if you have a masking tape cutting guide, it won't help you here as only one "window" is square! Very glad to have masks for these one-off subjects. I gifted this set to a model buddy who had never used one before, and he was sold immediately. He said it gave him the freedom to fill and sand away some framing on the old kit where the fit was bad, and restore a good clean frame with paint later. Yep, this is a little-sung but important advantage to a good mask set: allowing better canopy-to-fuselage joint cleanup. He builds slowly but the Tamiya tape should be fine for months (or, knowing him, years!). Highly recommended

Just be aware that if you intend to use the Falcon/Squadron vac canopy sets there is a different Kitmasx set for that, as linked above. Who else would even think of making a mask set for this oddball? No one else yet! So glad to have it, as I always fear cutting masks on vac canopies. One caveat that isn't Kitmasx's fault: note that MPM/HML have gotten the molded framing wrong on the top rear area. Where the rear canopy hinges it should be curved forward not straight (to clear the spine when open). Not an easy fix so you may want to leave it alone. Also, you may want to mask over the front frames indicated in my drawing and so not paint them, as these were just a clear plexiglass join in reality. MACH2 clear parts are notoriously bad- and not the only problems! This set, with good shapes and all those radiused corners, is indispensable. I will be following the above advice. Can you imagine cutting masks as clean as this by hand in 144th? Sharp windscreen, gondola, turrets... It is well worth paying someone to do the design work, testfitting and corrections, and plotter cutting for you. I purchased two sets of the masking circles, they are awesome for windows, lights, wheels and masking where a curve is required. Very easy to apply and remove and they leave a nice crisp clean paint masking edge. There are 23 different sizes and 16 of each size so they should last a while for many different models and applications. I haven't use the mask' set above mentioned yet, because still busy with another model Planet. However I can recommend It by the good material quality, the numerous parts cut with accurate precision and least but not last the interesting price.

Your masks do the job, and that's why I buy them.

I used this set recently on my Special Hobby Ju388J kitbash (with a Revell Ju88C) and it was near perfect! It is always a concern that masks might not fit properly or (vinyl) might not stick or conform, but there were no such problems here. Using lacquer paints, I left them on for a week or more and they came off fine. They were also tough enough to put up with a little touchup filling and sanding along the canopy edges after masking and priming. I never thought anyone would bother to make masks for the obscure subjects I have in my stash, but the savings in time and frustration are well worth it for a great result (especially on vac canopies!). The two copies were hardly needed but I did need to use a small triangle when one came off- you might want to replace these with tape. One tiny triangle window was left off the art but was easy to cut myself from spare material. I recommend doing what I did: bulk order all the masks you need for upcoming projects, with vinyl for the flat or simple curves and tape for the more complex.

Works as designed. Very fine cut segments, fit the model very well, vinyl quality excellent.
